2. The actual loudspeaker transducer within a system. (e.g., “My guitar amplifier features a custom-designed 12″ speaker.”)
3. A particular loudspeaker system, including a speaker cabinet; a loudspeaker; and any and all wiring, circuitry, and controls. (e.g., “I need a more powerful speaker for my portable PA system.”)
4. Studio monitors, generally when they are used for basic music playback or for gaming (e.g., “I hooked up my laptop to my new computer speakers.”)
