When using the Oktaver effect in Native Instruments’ Guitar Rig 3, you can generate two signals: One octave below and another signal that is two octaves below the original pitch. But there are two important cautions when using this effect: Octaver only works with single notes, not chords. You must also place the Octaver at or near the very start of the effect chain. You should not insert reverb, delay, or any modulation effects before the Octaver, as this will likely cause the pitch-tracking circuitry to become confused. Acceptable effects before Octaver would include Tube Compressor, Stomp Compressor, and in most cases, any type of EQ. For chord work, you can use the Pitch Pedal effect, as this works polyphonically.
