The Cool School instructional CD ROM’s for Pro Tools 5 software have arrived. Volume 5 includes a glossary of DAW terms and an in-depth look at the new features and functions of Pro Tools. It includes movies (over 40) and other interactive elements that will take you all the way through your system showing you the best ways to work efficiently. Even if you don’t own Pro Tools, but are considering a purchase this is a great tool to get you up to speed.
Steinberg has released version 1.5 of Nuendo software. It has a ton of new features. A few highlights include: Waveform drawing in real-time, including fades and event volumes, better import/export support of more different protocols, time stamped audio files, VST instrument support, several new plug-ins (including Apogee’s UV22), better surround panners, Rewire support, and a lot more we don’t have room for.
