Burns Bison Bass

Although the original 4-pickup Jim Burns-designed Bison guitar was discontinued in 1962, the UK-based builder released a companion instrument, the huge Bison Bass, which was itself discontinued in 1964. Unusually for any solidbody electric, the Bison Bass had a sycamore body and three low-impedance pickups! Like its smaller (but no less striking) 6-string brother, it was only available in a gloss black finish.
