Wouldn’t it be cool if you had a factory right in your studio that pops out really amazing analog synths. Well, actually you can… sort of. See, Arturia has a demo version of their new Analog Factory software available for download at http://www.arturia.com/en/demos.php?product=analogfac. This is a “light version” that does not require a Syncrosoft key, but has a few limitations: only 137 presets are available and the Prophet V module is disabled. Still, with Analog Factory, you can choose everything from fat bass and lead lines to lush, atmospheric pads using Arturia models of such classics as the MiniMoog, ARP 2600, CS-80V, Moog Modular and the Prophet VS. The intuitive interface includes a smart Preset Manager that allows you to find the sound you’re looking for with just a few mouse clicks. The full retail version of Analog Factory will be available in July 2006 in stand-alone, VST, Audio Units, and RTAS formats. System requirements are: Windows 2000/XP with 512MB of RAM and a 1.5GHz CPU or Mac OS X version 10.3.9 or higher with 512MB and a 1.5GHz CPU. Definitely worth checking out!
