This guitar has every pick-up configuration that I could ever want or need since it has a five-way sellector switch and a hum-single-hum pick-up configuration including coil-tapping. There is an RMC piezo on every saddle on the bridge for that very warm and smooth acoustic sound, and now a USB port so that I can plug directly into my DAW or notation program. When I play live, I always have to take multiple guitars with me, including an acoustic that always seems to be feeding back, but not any more. I have every sound and function right at my finger tips. I even have plans to start using a laptop and sequencer live since I can now trigger it right from my guitar.
The playablity of the this guitar is world class. The neck-thru design is done perfectly so that I can easily get to the 22nd fret for that finishing note in my guitar solo. It has an amazing tone and sustain from the Kalantas Mahogany that this guitar is made of. The Custom Contoured Top is also an amazing feature, which gives this guitar a lighter ergonomically correct shape that fits me better and also prevents the beautiful, highly figured quilted maple top from getting all scratched up from pics.
Usually guitars that have this much functionality don’t play like the All-Star guitars that I’m used to, but Brian Moore holds to that quality in both performance and design.
