Today we kick off our inSync New In Stock with the parade of BOSS guitar effects pedals. Well, BOSS effects pedals and a pretty cool effects processor just for the bassists. We’ll hit that one first. It’s called the GT-6B and it’s BOSS’ first multi-effects processor exclusively for bass in five years. This floor-based device is like a complete toybox for bass guitarists, with new COSM Bass Amp Modeling and a generous selection of essential effects. There are also XLR and digital outputs for recording.
This next one is REALLY cool. It’s the PW-10 V-Wah, a unique programmable COSM modeling wah pedal with six classic and modern wah sounds for bassists and guitarists, plus all-new “Voice” and “Double Resonance” modes which have never appeared in a wah pedal before.
The parade of pedals continues with two new members of the BOSS’ Twin Pedal Series, the OD-20 and the CE-20. The OD-20 provides 22 tasty models of prime overdrive/distortion sounds via advanced COSM technology. The CE-20 brings the same sonic excellence to a great selection of world-class chorus sounds, plus 6 new chorus effects you’ve never heard before.
“Programmable WAH pedals?! Double pedals?! Modeling for bass?! Doesn’t BOSS make simple, straightforward guitar effects pedals anymore?” And how! In fact, the word is that the BF-3 and MD-2 are two of BOSS’ best effects pedals ever. The BF-3 Flanger brings back the sound of the classic BF-2 flanger, some of the thickest and finest stereo flange ever produced. The MD-2 is called the Mega Distortion, and more than lives up to its name by delivering the kind of bloodthirsty, Kong-sized distortion that gives electric guitar a bad reputation. We’ve heard a few guitarists claim that it’s BOSS’ best distortion pedal. Ever. Period.
Vox has launched a new website specifically for their awesome new Valvetronix amplifiers. In addition to loads of information about this groundbreaking new amp, there are downloads of manuals, as well as an interactive audition page. These amps are really amazing sounding so if you’re a guitar player looking for an edge check it out.
