Apple’s name for software that can be installed onto an Intel Mac that allows the machine to run both OS X and the Windows XP operating systems. With Boot Camp installed, both operating systems co-exist, with the user able to switch between the Windows and Mac software at startup. At the time of this writing, Boot Camp is officially considered a “public beta” release. It’s scheduled to become an integral part of the upcoming OS X Leopard.
