When browsing the World Wide Web, a bookmark allows you to quickly go back to access a certain Web site or even a specific page on the site. Bookmarks are a standard feature of all modern Internet browsers and have been since the very first implementation of the feature in the Mosaic browser of 1993, although the term used at the time was “Hotlist.” Microsoft’s Internet Explorer originally used the term “favorites.”
