You may have been hearing about Bogner quality through the grapevine, or you may have read about the company’s amps in recent reviews. But, it’s not until you hear your own axe played through one (and then directly compared to your existing amp) that you become a believer! That’s why we’ve decided to feature the Bogner Shiva 1×12 combo with reverb as today’s Guitar (errrr, Amp) of the Day!
The Bogner amp we are talking about here is an 80-watt 1×12 combo amp with two footswitchable channels, and was designed by the same man, Rheinhold Bogner, who completely overhauled and revitalized Eddie Van Halen’s number one amp (with spectacular results, by the way). Other high profile Bogner clients include Steve Stevens, Allan Holdsworth, and Steve Vai – players who, for the most part, could choose any amp they wanted, yet they went with Bogner.
This amazing 80-watt all-tube amp features dual channels, reverb (with separate controls for each channel), a 12″ speaker in a closed-ported enclosure, EL34 tubes…even a tube-buffered effects loop! There’s a footswitchable boost, which is variable on channel 2. Channel 1 features bass, treble, and volume controls, along with a bright switch, whicle Channel 2 has bass, mid, treble, gain, and volume controls along with a bright switch. There are global master volume and presence controls.
The Bogner Shiva is handcrafted using only the finest components. These are special amps – you simply must hear what this premium amp can do for your tone!
