Repli-Q is a powerful spectral matching/balancing plug-in included in BIAS Master Perfection Suite. It’s designed to analyze, edit, and compare the spectral content of master audio recordings. Once analysis has taken place, the spectral characteristics of one recording may be applied directly to another. By viewing the frequency data plotted out as a graph (and by listening, of course), a user can more easily discern where there are hot peaks, dips, holes, and other problems in a recording. One cool feature of Repli-Q is that it allows you to analyze a favorite artist’s “spectral signature” and then apply that to your own recordings. In the mastering process, it can deliver a more cohesive sound to a collection of songs that were recorded and mixed in different locations.
