Bob Taylor’s namesake company can be traced to his employment at American Dream, a job he began at just 18 years old. Within a few years, Taylor was among a trio of American Dream’s employees who took it upon themselves to pursue their dream of crafting premium instruments, purchasing the company from then-owner Sam Radding, in 1974. After some careful tweaking, Taylor was born, marking the inception of a now 50-year-long odyssey to explore, refine, and elevate the landscape of the acoustic guitar. Throughout this half-century, Taylor would embark on numerous innovative endeavors, seeking to truly unravel and reimagine what the acoustic guitar was, what defined a “top-notch” instrument, and what previously unexplored sonic heights they could summit. Taylor Guitars invited Sweetwater to their El Cajon, California, headquarters to offer a glimpse into the past, present, and future of Taylor. Don’t miss out!
