Apple has announced the latest incarnation of their powerful flagship laptop, the Macbook Pro. The new MBPs all feature Apple’s high-resolution (stunning looking) Retina display; there are both 13-inch and 15-inch models on offer.
The new 13-inch models feature either a 2.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 (fourth generation) processor with Turbo Boost to 3.1GHz, or a 2.8GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 (fourth generation) processor with Turbo Boost to 3.3GHz.
The new 15-inch models have either a 2.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 (fourth generation) processor with Turbo Boost to 3.4GHz or a 2.5GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 (fourth generation) processor with Turbo Boost to 3.7GHz.
Expansion connectivity on all models includes two Thunderbolt 2 ports, two USB 3 ports, an SDXC card slot, an HDMI port, and a MagSafe 2 port. The 13-inch models support up to 8GB of RAM, while the 15-inch models can accept up to 16GB of RAM. Solid-state PCIe-based flash storage is standard, from 128GB on the base-line 13inch model to 512GB on the top-of-the-line 15-inch Macbook Pro.
If you need a Macbook Pro right away, and you don’t want to wait for the new models, there’s been a nice price drop on the current models, while supplies last!
