Ah, summer, when the youngsters go away to camp to get a nasty sunburn, dehydration and about 1,000 chigger bites. Okay, so the experience isn’t perfect. Maybe that’s why Apple has announced a special summer music camp that promises to let kids totally geek out, creating their own music, podcasts, movies, and Web sites on a Mac. There will also be workshops aimed at kids with intermediate computer skills. These camps are free and will be available at all Apple Stores, but require registration. All campers will go home with a t-shirt, patch, field journal, field guide, bumper sticker, name tag, and a certificate of achievement . . . and no chigger bites.
