We’ve been getting a steady stream of new Apple computers, including the earth-trembling, super-powerful, ultra-fast dual 1 GHz G4. The dual 1GHz PowerPC G4 processors offer amazing 15 gigaflop performance – for those of you counting, that’s 15 billion floating point operations per second. The G4/933 isn’t the 1 GHz G4, but it’s no slouch, either, with plenty of power, speed, and hard drive space, plus all the software amenities you get with the new G4s these days. Finally, the iBookCom14 continues to blur the line between the capabilities of your desktop model and a portable computer. It includes a big Combo drive, which combines the capabilities of both CD-RW for writing your own CDs AND DVD playback. There’s also 128MB of SDRAM already installed, and a 14.1″ screen. And it’s all in a package that weighs in at just a little over 5 pounds.
