Apple today has announced the acquisition of Emagic, one of the leading makers of digital audio and MIDI based software for music creation and production. According to a press release at the Emagic website they will operate as a wholly owned division of Apple. The release also says that Mac based products account for over 65% of Emagic’s current revenues and that all Windows based products will be discontinued as of September 30, 2002.
