Antelope Audio has announced the MP32, a compact, 2U rackmount unit that comprises 32 console-grade microphone/line preamps with integrated software control. Specifically designed to complement the popular Antelope Audio Orion 32 thirty-two channel converter, the MP32, when combined with the Orion 32, provides 32 pristine, high-quality input channels for recording via USB to Mac or PC. Each of the class A preamps in the MP32 features phantom power; four of the preamps also provide high-impedance instrument input. Inputs are via XLR combi jacks, outputs are via D-sub connectors.
The Mac and Windows-compatible MP32 control panel allows control over the MP32’s parameters, as well as save/recall for presets, and individual VU-style metering. Each preamp is designed for clean, open, transparent operation, with excellent headroom, and up to 65dB of gain, configurable in 1-dB steps.
The MP32 will be available later in Q4 of 2014. A special discount will be available for Orion 32 owners.
