Alesis’ Fusion Convertor is Windows/Macintosh OS X software that can import/convert a number of different file formats into the Alesis Fusion workstation format. Fusion Converter also allows you to use your conmputer to organize banks, programs, and samples and provides archiving of volumes.
Fusion Convertor can import the following formats:
- WAVE files
- AIFF files
- AKAI S-1000/3000 CDs
- SoundFonts
- Akai S-5000/Z-Series programs
If Fusion Convertor stalls when it’s reading data from external media, try pressing SHIFT on the computer keyboard as you start up the software. Then restart the program. If it continues to stall, press CTL-R on the computer keyboard as you’re starting up the program. This prevents the application from checking for proprietary drives upon start up.
