AKAI has once again topped the market in sampling groove workstations. The MPC2500 has the same great quality that you have come to expect from the MPC line, but with some amazing new features. New features such as Chopshop, Patched Phrase, Grid Edit, Effect and LFO sync, Mixer Automation, and Input Thru are setting new standards in how groove workstations perform. There are great new physical features on the MPC2500 that will increase versatility in player performace on this machine. Featuring dual Q Link knobs and sliders and a larger LCD display screen give the performer more “real-time” feel over filters and effects, and the new drum machine grid and continuous MIDI data can be shown and edited graphically.
I can see why MPC workstations are at the center of hip hop and dance music and I don’t see them going away anytime soon. They are powerful musical instruments and the best in making beats on the planet.
