Beyerdynamic will be announcing the world’s first wireless ribbon microphone, the RM 510. The new mic features an ultra-light 3-micrometer aluminum ribbon for exceptional frequency and transient response. The mic uses a special sound “labyrinth” to produce a cardioid polar pattern for reduced feedback and bleed, while a treble resonator protects against plosives.
Glyph will begin shipping the PortaGig 62 following AES. Modeled after the GT 062E desktop RAID, the PortaGig 62 will contain two 5400 or 7200RPM drives and a quiet internal fan, in a palm-size case.
