Ableton has released a free public beta of the latest update to their unique and highly successful DAW, Live. The Live 9.2 beta includes the following new features:
- The audio warping engine has been improved with two new transient processing modes, Complex and Complex Pro. Audio-Warp and tempo detection have also been improved.
- Reduced latency for Sets that include Max for Live and third-party plug-ins.
- Full latency compensation for automation.
- A new Tuner device.
Live 9.2 Public Beta also includes a number of new features when used in tandem with Ableton’s Push hardware. You can now use all 64 pads for drums and quickly switch back to the 16-pad mode for the step sequencer. You can use the touch strip to control modulation and pitch bend. Finally, the aftertouch support and response has been improved for several of Live’s internal sound libraries.
