Between the Buried and Me’s lead vocalist relies on the Quad Cortex for live vocal effects. Distortions, reverbs, telephone-style processing, and megaphone-like presence — Tommy’s on-stage vocal delivery is every bit as polychromic as the band’s catalog. Speaking about this arrangement, Tommy prefers the hands-on control this affords him, rather than relegating sound shaping duties to the front-of-house crew or elsewhere.
Recording, writing, and rehearsing at home are imperative solo ventures for each member of BTBAM — something that maximizes their individual and collective capacities for bringing exploratory and innovative perspectives to each record.
