The ATOM includes 16 velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads. These pads are super-expressive, thanks to switchable polyphonic aftertouch, channel pressure, and MIDI CC message modes, and are perfect for triggering loops and laying down drum grooves. Tweaking your parameters is easy with four endless rotary encoders, and eight pad banks expand your number of pads to 128. You can also customize the ATOM’s response with selectable pad velocity curves and pressure thresholds, while MIDI keyboard, note repeat, and full velocity modes put you in complete command.
Integrating ATOM with Studio One is dead simple. It’s automatically detected by the software, with no setup required. Navigating and choosing an instrument is fast and easy, courtesy of ATOM’s Instrument Browser. You can also create new tracks, change instrument presets, or trigger tempo changes — all without leaving the hardware. Set looping points, navigate Studio One’s timeline, zoom in and out on the timeline or events, or edit and quantize MIDI events — you’re firmly in the driver’s seat. You also get immediate access to Studio One’s transport controls. With the ATOM, you can produce ultra-expressive music and deliver ever-changing performances.
The ATOM was designed with Studio One in mind, but it also works with other DAWs via USB-MIDI. This pad controller ships with a copy of Studio One Artist software and a 5-foot USB cable.
