A/B/Y Switch

Like an A/B switch, this is a switch with two outputs, A and B, that a user can manually switch between. However, the A/B/Y switch also includes the option to combine both outputs, hence the “Y” option. Like an A/B switch, A/B/Y switches are popular in live music rigs when using dual signal chains. For example, a guitarist may have two amplifiers onstage and may want an A/B/Y switch footpedal to select the A amp or B amp or to run both simultaneously.
