Each year guitar manufacturers tool up their newest designs and innovations and incorporate them into their new lineup. Always looking for ways to enhance their guitars, Gibson USA has added a number of new features that make their 2015 guitar models some of the most playable ever.
Each guitar’s neck and fretboard are now .050″ wider on each side, making bends and vibrato much easier on the outer strings. The 1-piece rosewood fretboards are sanded and buffed even smoother and rubbed with an all-new oil treatment, making them play faster than ever. Gibson’s new patent-applied-for zero-fret nut and Tune-o-matic bridge can be easily adjusted with a hex key if your action is too high or too low — no filing or shimming necessary. This is ideal for setting up your preferred action from super low to slide playing height. A newly designed Plek process and a new lower fret wire make the Gibson 2015 guitars play better than ever.
If you loved Gibson’s Min-ETune tuning system, then you’ll love their newly developed G-Force system. Thanks to G-Force, not only can you tune your guitar with a single strum, but you can also make use of a larger selection of alternate tunings without having to switch guitars. You can also calibrate your guitar to an external source. Say you have a vintage piano that’s not quite tuned to A440. Now, thanks to G-Force, the piano and your guitar can play together beautifully with no tuning hassles. These new updates, and many more, take the 2015 Gibson USA lineup to a new level of playability and performance. Be sure to check out our YouTube channel to hear these guitars in action.
