The Tone Bender (sometimes called the Sola Sound Tone Bender) is one of the most famous fuzz circuits from the 1960s. Based on the Gibson Maestro Fuzz-Tone three-transistor circuit, it became a staple of players such as Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Mick Ronson, and others. The Tone Bender went through many revisions, with changes including additional gain stages and germanium diodes as time went on. Sola Sound also produced custom-labeled versions of the Tone Bender for Vox, Marshall, RotoSound, Park Amplification, and others.
