The Dallas Rangemaster is arguably the most famous classic treble booster from the 1960s. It wasn’t a pedal, but a box that sat on top of the amplifier, and was not footswitchable. Nevertheless, it helped define the sound of ’60s hard rock, becoming part of the signature sound of Brian May, Tony Iommi, Richie Blackmore, and others.
