Also known as an “Ethernet switch” or “network switch“, a network controller connects multiple devices together in a computer network. A network controller is more advanced than a simple network hub because a network controller uses packet switching to forward data to the specific device that needs it, rather than a hub that simply sends messages to all connected devices.
