Ethernet Switch

Also known as a “network switch,” this device connects multiple devices together in a computer network. An Ethernet switch is more advanced than a simple Ethernet hub because an Ethernet switch uses packet switching to forward data to the specific device that needs it, rather than a hub that simply sends messages to all connected devices.
