New for 2015, Focusrite released two plug-in emulations of their famous Red Line gear, the Red 2 EQ and the Red 3 Compressor. The Red 2 was modeled on the ISA215 equalizer circuits originally designed for the legendary Focusrite Forte console. Its characteristically warm and smooth sound has captivated mix engineers for decades and is a real asset to any project. The Red 3 Compressor was modeled on the ISA130 compressor module’s circuit topology and offers you the fast attack, broad compression ratios, and natural-sounding dynamics that made the VCA-based hardware such a hit. Both plug-ins are available for Pro Tools 10+ as well as AU- and VST-based DAW platforms.
