Korg has introduced a new, more powerful version of its flagship Kronos Music Workstation. Said to be shipping early next year, the new keyboards feature the amazing Kronos 9-engine structure of previous versions, with improvements to sound capability and overall functionality. A 9GB Berlin piano has been added to the SGX piano engine, the Berlin piano features dedicated una corda (soft pedal) samples, plus sympathetic string resonance for maximum realism and playabilty. Other new features include system-wide Touch/Drag via the Kronos huge color TouchView screen allowing the user to edit onscreen parameters faster than ever, improved search functions, an evolved Set List mode, onscreen metering in Combination and Sequencer modes, and a new look: natural wood side panels, easier-to-read labeling, gold-plated I/O jacks, and more!
There will be three versions of the new Kronos: the 61-key Kronos 6, the 73-key Kronos 7, and the 88-key Kronos 8.
