Shuffle Groove

A shuffle groove is a type of swing groove that has its beginnings in early jazz swing music. As time passed, different versions of the groove evolved. Styles such as Jump Blues, Boogie-Woogie, Chicago Shuffle, Texas Shuffle, Bo Diddley Beat, the Prima Shuffle, and all the way up to the Jeff Porcaro’s famous “Rosanna” shuffle, which is a take on the Bo Diddley Beat, show the versatility of the Shuffle Groove and its impact on music new and old.
