It’s time for the July WSOTM (Web Site of the Month). One of the very few columns religiously read by your trusty inSync editor is the I, Cringely Pulpit column on the PBS Web site. Now, I would just offer the entire PBS site as the WSOTM, but that’s too obvious and generic, though it is more than worthy. Robert Cringely is probably most noted for his expertise and knowledge about the IBM, Apple, Microsoft, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs turmoil of the 1980’s and 90’s. His accounting of that history is some of the most interesting and revealing I’ve read, but that’s not why his column gets the WSOTM award. It is just an interesting (and always mercifully brief) column every week, that’s all. More specifically, the issue he put up on June 29 speaks to a topic many of you may find pertinent. In case it is already down by the time you get there you will then find it in the Old Hat section. It’s called Downtrodden Rock Stars Unite.
