Nemesys pushes the envelope further with GigaStudio 96. While bearing some resemblance to their popular GigaSampler, GigaStudio is actually based on an entirely new architecture. It includes sequencing, synthesis, and built in effects plug-ins. They claim latency is consistently in the 3 – 10 millisecond range for all 96 voices. Very impressive.
In response to last week’s message about Technical Support one inSync reader has offered a service mostly oriented to the rave scene. Here it is in his words:
“Just thought you might like to inform your readers of an existing option for technical assistance and information, as well as discussion and the like. For anyone involved in the rave scene, worldwide, with respect to technical aspects of the scene, an email discussion list exists. While it currently receives almost no traffic, it exists for discussion of all technical aspects of the scene, including lighting, sound, production/composition, performance, A/V, and pretty much anything else. We currently have some very knowledgeable individuals subscribed to the list. Interested individuals can subscribe by sending a blank email message to ravetech-l-subscribe@egroups.com or by signing up at http://egroups.com and then signing up for the ravetech-l list”
