24-bit, 96k recording just took a leap forward. We’ve received our first shipment of MotU’s highly anticipated 1296 systems. These are based on the same core technology as the 2408, 1224, etc. But they can record at 96k sampling rates. The interface is also available separately and can be used with existing 2408 type systems as a 96k expansion. This doesn’t mean it will turn your 2408 interface into a 96k box, but it does mean you can do 96k work when you need to without having to have a totally separate system.
The Alesis DG8 piano is now coming with the stand included, which is effectively a significant price decrease. Not only is the DG8 a great sounding and feeling digital piano, but the built in speaker system is without a doubt the most powerful we’ve ever heard. In a typical church where the piano is not miked the DG8 could easily hold its own without any amplification.
