How about some synth with your axe? Or is that too much MIDI already? It’s true, we of the guitar persuasion sometimes feel a bit vexed when we come in contact with the BinHex broo-ha-ha, but Brian Moore Guitars has a solution that works for everyone. It’s called the i88.13, and it can open up a whole new world of tonal creation for guitarists. Compatible with all 13-pin guitar synthesizers that accept both magnetic and piezo input (the Roland GR-33 and VG-88 come to mind), the i88.13 has built-in magnetic pickups, MIDI electronics, and utilizes RMC Piezo saddles as the MIDI pickup – a system that shows improved tracking over externally mounted magnetic MIDI pickups. That’s right, there is no externally mounted hardware or electronics on this guitar. Even the audio input jack is quite well out-of-sight; it’s a recessed jack on the back of the guitar body. Besides being beautiful guitars with exquisite finishes, the i88.13 gives you all MIDI controls at your fingertips – full blending capabilities between MIDI, piezo and magnetic pickups, all from controls on the guitar front. Of course, there are some other things guitar players want to know about… a bolt-on 22-fret maple neck, rosewood fretboard, and Kalantas Mahogany body. Available in Solid Black, Vintage Sunburst, and Amber. All come with cases, and aren’t as expensive as you think they are, by a longshot.
In case you don’t already have enough software synthesizers in your system, be advised that the Rainbow 2.0 PC software synth is available. The new version adds a 16 step sequencer, more and better filters, and is compatible with VST2.0 (PC) or can be used as a stand alone application under Windows.
