E-mu/Ensoniq has reached an agreement with the U.K.-based company Red Sound Systems, Ltd. to become the exclusive U.S. distributor for the Red Sound product line. The Red Sound product line consists of several effects units and audio-to-MIDI converters that utilize proprietary V2 BPM technology. This technology allows for external audio to be analyzed and BPM information to be extracted, enabling synth and effects engines to be synchronized to incoming audio. The V2 BPM technology locks extremely fast and is one of the best on the market. Red Sound also produces the DarkStar 8-voice, tabletop analog synthesizer and will soon be coming out with their Cyclops pad based sampler shown at the recent NAMM show.
