Akai’s much sought-after DPS24 24-track digital studio is now in. There are a lot of quality recording workstations out there, but the DPS24 is probably one of the most comprehensive we’ve encountered, with all the power and capabilities of an expensive 24-track studio in one table-top-sized unit.

Discrete Drums has released the Roland Collection, designed specifically for Roland VS-2480, VS-1680, VS-1880, and VS-1824 recorders. Also available is the 16-bit Stereo WAV Edition for use with Roland CDX-1 and BOSS BR-1180 CD. A Discrete Drums Limited Edition CD is being bundled with the new VS-2480 CD, VS-1824, CDX-1, and BOSS BR-1180 CD machines. The disc includes material from various Discrete Drums Series releases in the Roland format.
