Korg has expanded its D-Series recording products with the compact, affordable D4 Digital Recorder, which has a user friendly interface and records four tracks of MPEG-1 format audio onto Compact Flash cards. There are eight virtual tracks per channel, for a total of 32 tracks.
Enhancements include easy to use turn/push editing knobs, a large backlit LCD, front-panel XLR and 1/4″ inputs that accept a microphone or guitar. Three recording modes (High-Quality, Standard, Economy) allow up to 99 songs and 72 hours of recording time in Economy mode with a 2GB card. The D4 also has a full suite of non-destructive editing tools and 93 different types of studio-quality modeling effects featuring Korg’s proprietary REMS technology.
Additional onboard features include 200 presets, a built-in mic, tuner, two audio outputs, stereo mini headphone jack and USB serial port. The D4 ships with a 64 MB Compact Flash card (with support for cards up to 2 GB) and an AC adapter.
