If you own either the 88-note Fusion 8HD or the 61-note Fusion 6HD, you’ll be happy to know Alesis has released v1.03 of the Fusion OS. As you probably know, the Fusion audio engine is a completely upgradeable platform that will continue to improve with each and every release. Unlike “yesterday’s” keyboard workstations, where you had to buy expansion boards to get new sounds, the Fusion’s onboard sample library is part of the overall OS, and Alesis is committed to improving both the audio content, as well as the feature set with each new release.
Version 1.03 includes the following enhancements:
- New mixes in the Mix bank. All mixes were enhanced and reordered.
- Adds 60 new Groove Mixes
- Adds an Electronica program bank (128 new programs)
- Adds a Synth Drum program bank (18 new programs)
- Includes a complete GM program bank (128 new programs)
- Allows fast transposition of the the keyboard from the program screen
- Many dramatic improvements to the arpeggiator
- Improvements to programs including the Holy Grail Grand Piano and the Hammond organs
