Propellerhead Software has announced the release of the Reason Drum Kits 2.0 ReFill, a superb collection of drum kits for Reason 3.0 that goes far beyond your “typical” sampled drum libraries. The package comes with 17 preset kits created from more than 10,000 samples! The kits are divided into genres with styles covering pop/indie, funk/soul and rock/metal, plus special Style templates within each genre. Musicians who use ReWire-enabled applications such as Pro Tools, Logic, or Live can use Reason as a dedicated, standalone virtual drummer (one that won’t eat the last of the pizza or hit on your girlfriend).
Utilizing Reason 3.0’s Combinator feature, RDK 2 captures the sound, the room, EQ, effects, signal routing, the player’s feel, and multiple output console levels of a professionally engineered drum session. The ReFill includes Producer Kits that emulate famous Producers’ signature drums sounds by recreating their signal flow and effects chains – we’re talking about producers that work with artists such as The Hives, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, and Mary J. Blige.
