MOTU 828mkII USB 2.0 Interface – The MOTU 24-bit/96kHz 828mkII FireWire audio interface has been a hot seller since its arrival, but now, with the increasing popularity of the ultra-fast (480Mbit) USB 2.0 standard, the company has added an 828mkII USB 2.0 “plug and play” interface to its line, which should be huge with those owners of PCs without FireWire ports. Both versions have the same feature set, with eight channels of 1/4-inch ins and outs plus two mic inputs coupled to a premium preamp with phantom power. There’s even a front-panel guitar input.
