There has been a free upgrade available online for registered owners of the Pro Tools M-Powered package. Now M-Audio and Digidesign have announced that the upgraded Pro-Tools M-Powered version 7 bundle will be available worldwide in the next few weeks. This new version costs the same as the previous release. Essentially, this is a special version of Pro Tools LE that’s compatible with all M-Audio interfaces: Audiophile 192 or Audiophile 2496, FireWire 410 or FireWire 1814, Ozonic, FireWire Solo, Audiophile FireWire, and the Delta series. Users can record audio up to 24-bit and 96kHz, then edit and mix with the user-friendly Pro Tools LE software and process the tracks with more than 30 included RTAS and AudioSuite plug-ins. Pro Tools M-Powered 7 features include: New instrument tracks combining MIDI and audio in a single channel strip, real-time MIDI processing, enhanced groove quantization, sample-based MIDI tracks allowing MIDI events to stay locked to time code regardless of tempo changes, zoom toggle enhancements, and many more.
