Apogee has been producing great converters for years. As everyone knows (or should know), getting your audio out of the analog world and into a digital format is a critical step in assuring the highest quality recordings. Up until now, Apogee’s excellent Rosetta 800 has been able to deliver a 96kHz sample rate, but the company has now confirmed that the newest versions of the Rosetta 800 will indeed be standardized to handle 192kHz sample rates. Previously, Rosetta owners who required 192kHz had to purchase an optional upgrade. The Rosetta 800 offers such Apogee exclusives as SoftLimit, UV22HR, and Intelliclock. Combined with optional FireWire and Pro Tools connectivity make the Rosetta 800 an ideal choice for true high-definition audio.
