Not all of today’s news is MacIntel related. DigiTech has announced a cool piece of hardware they’re calling the EX-7 Expression Factory. The ruggedly built EX-7 has models of seven of the all-time coolest expression pedals plus seven distortion models, and even a convenient volume pedal. Available expression pedal models include:
- Model One (based on the Dunlop Cry Baby wah pedal)
- Model Two (based on the 1966 VOX Clyde McCoy wah pedal)
- Model Three (based on the rare DigiTech XP300 Space Station/Synth Swell pedal)
- Model Four (based on the DigiTech Whammy pedal)
- Model Five (based on the Unicord Uni-Vibe vibrato and chorus pedal)
- Model Six (based on the classic Leslie 147 rotary speaker)
- Model Seven (based on the A/DA Flanger, acknowledged as the “Holy Grail” of flangers)
As mentioned above, the Expression Factory also features seven distortion models from the hugely popular DF-7 Distortion Factory, including the Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer, DOD Overdrive/Preamp 250, Boss DS-1, Pro Co Rat, Boss MT-2 Metal Zone, DigiTech’s own Metal Master, and Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi.
