Our bi-monthly newsletter, SweetNotes, is one of our most popular publications, as well as our longest running. We’ve been offering two versions for quite a while: The traditional paper format mailed directly to your door, and a PDF version, downloadable from the publications page on our site.
But we’re always looking to take things to the next level. So now we’ve got a third, additional format for you to enjoy: a downloadable Zinio version. What’s Zinio? Zinio is a document format somewhat similar to PDFs, but it allows you to view the document on your computer as if it were an actual magazine – you turn pages, etc. It’s very cool. But there’s more to it than that; we can link the issue index to take you directly to the appropriate page for an item, link to pages on our site (or anywhere on the web), and more. We haven’t done it yet, but we also have the ability to add “rich media” to the Zinio SweetNotes; audio files and even embedded video.
The first issue of SweetNotes to be published in Zinio format (Feb/Mar 2006) is now available for download. (It also recently hit the post office to be mailed to your door, but you can get a sneak peek by downloading it.)
