Arturia‘s Brass is a software recreation of three wind instruments: trumpet, saxophone, and trombone, all of which are based on physical models in which the characteristics of the real instruments have been analyzed and reproduced through mathematical algorithms. Brass comes loaded with more than 40 instrument presets and offers a large library of more than 1,000 riffs in different musical styles. Now it’s been given an update to version 1.1. Here’s a partial list of changes and enhancements:
- The PC installer has been fixed so it loads the correct Athlon and P3 processor-compatible “SSE” versions.
- When reloading a project in a sequencer using a saxophone, the instrument was not correctly initialized, its sound was bad, and the software could become unstable. This issue has been corrected.
- On PCs running Digidesign Pro Tools with Brass 1.0 installed, Pro Tools wouldn’t close correctly, nor was it possible to restart it. This has been fixed.
- Brass would not open in Singer Song Writer 8.0 VS (a Japanese sequencer).
