FXpansion: There are new Universal Binary versions of the company’s BFD and Guru software being shown at Musikmesse. These Intel-Mac/PowerPC compatible versions are expected to be released in Q2, 2006 and best of all, they’ll be free updates for existing users.
Yellow Tools: Freedom is a new virtual effects plug-in for Windows and Mac OS X with immediate access to over 40 filters and effects, including Yellow Tools’ Impulse Response processor “Origami LE” with 25 IR models and audio import option.
Antares: We’ve been waiting for a Microphone Modeler update for Audio Units and VST Mac OS X! Antares unveiled v1.3.8 at the show and announced that because of the long wait, the upgrades will be available to owners of equivalent versions for free!
IK Multimedia: IK is currently testing all their products for use with the new Intel-Mac Core Duo format and expects that they will start shipping them during the 2nd quarter of 2006.
Korg: The company announced version 1.2 of the Korg Legacy Collection – Digital Edition, which includes version 1.6 of Wavestation, as well as v1.5.1 of M1 and v1.2.3 of MDE-X, both of which include miscellaneous bug fixes.
