As promised, Native Instruments has begun shipping its new KORE system, though it’s already been updated to version 1.0.1. This particular release adds a new “Live View” mode, six brand new effects, optimized audio drivers, and pre-configured “Easy Access Pages” that allow users to automatically assign plug-in parameters to the KORE controller for a number of virtual instruments from Arturia, Korg, Spectrasonics, and several others. We’ve seen KORE in action, and it does indeed do what NI promised, which is to make all your virtual instruments and effects plug-ins instantly accessible through one user friendly interface. Our Editorial Director, Mitch Gallagher, will be putting KORE through its paces in a hands-on review for the June issue of SweetNotes.
