The makers of Notion music composition and performance software have expanded the Notion Realize Music Challenge with three entry categories and even more prizes to be awarded. The Grand Prize remains a recording session with the world-renowned London Symphony Orchestra at the legendary Abbey Road Studios! Entrants can compose up to a 10-minute work using Notion software or with a free demo version and then enter their compositions in one of three categories: Young Composers under 18 years of age, Emerging Composers 18-25 years of age, and Accomplished Composers over 25 years of age. Deadline for entries is November 30, 2006. The Grand Prize winner will be chosen from all entry categories, then he or she will be whisked away to England to record their winning composition in a session with the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios. They’ll also take home a copy of Notion software and $2,500 in cash. One Young Composer entry, one Emerging Composer entry, and one Accomplished Composer entry will win a copy of Notion software, $1,000 in cash and have their work featured on the Notion website. Five runner-up entries in each category will win a copy of Notion software.
